this was done after hiking to the top of buck mountain. when i first started it, the black flies were pretty bad. the black flies were quickly gone, but only because of wind gusting up to 30 mph on the peak. the wind made it nearly impossible to paint, let alone get the charecteristic wet on wet effects of watercolor. i quit before finishing, mostly because i was trembling from the cold.
black flies, wind and cold cannot stop you!! I think it is just as nice as any of them.
